Belgium counts six flower parades, in the Netherlands there are about twenty. Each with their own charm and character. Flower parades are an old tradition, that is carried forward from father to son, mother to daughter and vice versa. At the same im the tradition evolves, and changes, depending on new customs. The parades currently held, cannot be compared to the ones fifty years ago.<!-- x-tinymce\/html --><\/p>\n<p>As living traditions, the flow parades belong on the UNESCO-list of intangible cultural heritage. In the Netherlands, in 2012, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corsozundert.nl\/home-EN\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the flower parade of Zundert<\/a> was the first Flower parade to be recognized as intangible heritage on the national list. Other Dutch parades would soon follow: <a href=\"http:\/\/immaterieelerfgoed.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-223 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bloemencorso.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/sintjansklooster2-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bloemencorso.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/sintjansklooster2-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bloemencorso.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/sintjansklooster2-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.bloemencorso.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/sintjansklooster2-683x1024.jpg 683w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloemencorso.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lichtenvoorde<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corsovalkenswaard.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Valkenswaard<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloemencorso-eelde.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eelde<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corso-vollenhove.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vollenhove<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fruitcorso.nl\/index.php\/nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tiel<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corsoklooster.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sint Jansklooster,\u00a0<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.volksfeest.nl\/bloemencorso.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Winterswijk<\/a> and Drogeham.\u00a0The Flamish parades of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloemencorso-blankenberge.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blankenberge<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloemencorsoloenhout.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Loenhout<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloemencorso.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kleinebloemenstoet.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wommelgem<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ternat.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ternat<\/a> made a joined effort, and were recognised on the Flamisch list in 2013.\u00a0And last but not least the\u00a0Battle of Flowers of Laredo is recognized as intangible heritage in Spain since 2011.
